Champlain Valley Head Start:
CV Head Start partners with parents of children to provide resources for childhood health and development. Head Start provides a preschool program, developmental and behavioral screenings, mental health workshops, and services for children with special needs. Parents in Head Start programs take on a leadership role by taking part in Local Parent Committee meetings, which provide the opportunity to discuss their children, Head Start curriculum and activities, and community issues with other parents. Head Start also provides referrals to other local agencies, connecting families to fundamental resources like food, clothing, housin and transportation.
