Community Health Center of Burlington
The CHC provides a variety of general health services, including:
- Primary care for all ages
- Full range of dental services (See “Dental Care” in this “Health” tab of this page)
- Care for pregnant women, babies, and birth
- Immunizations
- Social and mental health services
- Alcohol and drug abuse counseling
- Acute injury and illness treatment
- Prescription assistance programs
Insurance. Accepts all forms of insurance including Medicaid. The CHC of Burlington is the only local center which provides a sliding fee scale (patients pay what they can afford) for individuals without insurance, which results in many simple hospital visits only costing $6. Interpreters:The CHC has a telephone interpreting service with over 100 languages. It must be scheduled with John Bourgo 7 days before the visit.

Visiting Nurses Association
The VNA is a non-profit which provides programs that span from childhood services to the elderly, including:
- Long-Term Care for Children: Help for children dealing with long-term illnesses.
- Pediatric therapy: physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy
- Other programs for children and families

Financial Assistance: Most of the services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance. The VNA also receives United Way funds, as well as donations, grants, memorial gifts and planned gifts to use when patients do not have insurance coverage or other resources to pay for needed care.

Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood offers a variety of services, including:
- Information and services for parenting
- Annual check-ups
- Birth control
- Care for pregnant women
- Abortions
- Testing and treatment for STDs
- Immunizations for HPV, hepatitis A and B
- Emergency contraception
- Counseling
- Brochures available in many different languages
Insurance: Medicaid is accepted. If you are uninsured, you may qualify for a state-funded program or a lower fee scale. Please bring the following documents:
- Your 2 most recent paystubs & your spouse or civil union partner’s 2 most recent pay stubs, if applicable, OR
- Your most recent federal tax return.
Fees for services are based on your household income. Please bring proof of income when you arrive for your visit. Payment is expected at time of service.
