The Farmhouse Center

Vermont Works for Women
Located in Winooski, this organization helps women and girls explore and pursue work opportunities that lead to economic independence. In addition to helping women reach their employment goals, the program also advocates for large-scale cultural change for women and girls.

Burlington High School Vocational/Technical Training
Programs teaching technical/vocational skills from September – June. Adult students are normally enrolled in evening courses. Some adults with a more expansive background in English are enrolled in daytime technical services (alongside high school students). Others take basic English courses in evening division. Other courses can be taken during daytime with traditional high school students.

This technological center offers programs for career exploration and preparation in areas including automotive technology, child education, human services, cosmetology, computer systems, business, medical, dental, engineering, and construction training as well as many other training programs.
